There are sparks in the air

Well not really, I swapped out my old Bosch spark plugs for branded new NKG plugs. The thing with buying older cars is even if the they say "oh yer, it gets serviced every year" you don't know whether their lying or if the mean that the oil gets topped up and some new water is added to the radiator. So along with changing the oil and air filter I took it upon myself to change the sparks plugs.

Well before I started I consult the bible that is the Haynes manual, which confused me even more than I was already. So I went  down the trial and error route. I wouldn't recommend this to be brutally honest. Anyway after I snapped a rocker bolt and took off the rocker cover, stripped down my carb I finally found the spark plugs. I know what an effort when I could of just taken of the air filter but ssshhh.

Back to the story, I manged to change with plugs after borrowing a Kevin to give me a hand. Kevin left and I put the carb back together. But Winston wouldn't start so I charged the battery, he still wouldn't start so I phoned Kevin back up and like some sort of mechanical super hero he came and pointed out that I had connected the fuel line to a pipe that had been attached to the adjuster screw. I was lucky I didn't blow my car up. I guess I will learn from this, I'm lying I probably won't.
